Violin harmonics (flautando) for ethereal overtones. Distant male choir (ppp) sings long sustained tones. No percussion, no piano, no brass, no synths, no drums. No rhythmic ostinato, no syncopation. Reverb: cathedral hall, 5s decay, distant sound.

[Choir: Male choir or mixed (male-dominant). Sings only 4 syllables: "Re-qui-em" and "A-ve Ma-ri-a", repeated twice. Enters at 1:00, fades out by 1:50. Sings one pitch (A) sustained, then moves to G (minor 7th down). Must sound distant (high-cut filter, heavy reverb), not foreground. No intelligible words, just vowel resonance. Choir volume never exceeds p.

[Structure (total ~2:10):
- 0:00–0:30: Organ drone (D-A) alone. Cello enters at 0:15 with a single long F, slowly descends to E.
- 0:30–1:00: Cello plays 4-note motif D-C-Bb-A (each note 4s). Organ adds soft G minor chord in upper register. Viola harmonics appear faintly.
- 1:00–1:30: Choir enters ppp with "Re-qui-em" on A (sustained 20s). Organ shifts to D minor triad (D-F-A). Cello plays high fragile countermelody in harmonics.
- 1:30–1:50: Choir repeats "Re-qui-em" on G (minor 7th down), creating soft suspension. Cello holds F resolving to E. Dynamics rise to mp.
- 1:50–2:10: Choir fades out. Organ returns to open fifths. Cello plays final descending glissando to D. Last 15s: only organ drone and reverb tail.
