This is my love.. — Nikolay Romanov

Текст песни

Has the wind scattered my old name away?
There’s no return to the land I left behind.
If you try to glimpse me from a distant day,
You won’t see me, you won’t see me now—
My friend, farewell.

I’m drifting away, and time carries me
From shore to shore, from edge to edge.
From bank to bank, from sandbar to sandbar—
My friend, farewell.
I know that someday, from a faraway shore,
From the distant past of long ago,
The spring night wind will bring you a sigh from me.

Look, look around,
Look and see if anything remains
Of me behind.

At the midnight of forgetfulness, on the late edge
Of your life’s journey,
Look without despair, look without despair—
Will it flare up, will it take the shape
Of some unknown image, almost random?
Will it take the shape of some unknown image,
Almost random…

This is not a dream, this is not a dream—
This is all my truth, this is the truth itself.
The law that conquers death, the law that never ends—
This is my love.
This is my love…
